  • Ok, it’s actually 2:30 am, but whatever, on to the entry!

I’m still sick with a lingering cough that just will not go away and a strained voice that won’t get better anytime soon because I’m a freakin’ work-aholic and won’t take a day off to rest up like my body is telling me to. Hopefully it won’t be too busy at work tomorrow and I’ll be able to rest my voice up for the following day, when I know it’ll be busy, albeit repetitive…

So I couldn’t sleep tonight. I’m not sure why, but I think it’s because my body isn’t used to all this rest. Hence me being awake at 3am typing away when I really should be resting up for tomorrow. Maybe it’s also because I’m famished as well. I only had chicken soup with two glasses of tea and honey. My flatmates just came back, being the obnoxiously loud and rude people that they are, and woke me, then my tummy began to grumble without end so I reached for the closest thing available–a bag of Gardetto’s. I’m temporarily satiated, but am still awake. Shit, what am I going to do?! Ok, end of stream of consciousness…

So a couple of days ago, I watched the National Ballet of China’s performance of Raise The Red Lantern. It was absolutely breathtaking! Sorry I’m posting this review so late, but if you didn’t get to see it and it’s coming to a town near you, then GO WATCH IT! The costumes and set designs were amazing!! I was blown away by the choreography and just the overall performance. Damn, it’s exquisite pieces like that that totally make me proud to be Chinese, haha!

I watched Beauty Shop with John tonight. It was totally hilarious! I was a big fan of Barber Shops 1&2 before, and I’m a total fan of Beauty Shop. If you haven’t seen it yet, go rent it at your nearest Blockbuster! This movie isn’t intellectually stimulating or anything, but it is a fun movie about being your own person and not taking any shit. Plus I love Queen Latifah, so yeah, that’s more than reason enough to go watch it, haha. Dang, movies like this totally bring me back to my roots as a ghetto black woman, haha!

Argh, okie, it’s 3am and I don’t feel like being coherent. Perhaps I’ll head back to bed now, or maybe I’ll just surf the net a bit. I need to buy a facial steamer. I’ve been meaning to get one. It helps with clearing your sinuses, plus it’s good for your skin too. Do any of you have one? Do you like it? Damn, I’m so in a shopping mood, here’s some other things I want and am considering buying:

    - iPod Nano
    - Canon IXY (STILL!!! I’m thinking I’ll just wait until the next time I’m in Tokyo to just swing by and get it at Akihibara)

    …and I’m off…

  • Queen Latifah is loud, direct and very funny given the right material. Just what was Taxi Driver all about?

  • Why are gay people racist?

  • dude, i was up at that time too.  but it was b/c i was reading harry potter again… and then i couldn’t go to sleep, and was thinking so much i couldn’t sleep.  get the nano, sell stef your ipod for cheap!  haha.  hope you feel better and that the roommates will be more considerate.  (here’s hoping!)

  • There is a lot we could do about it. We could establish awareness of the rich diversity of the queer community, and that homosexuality isn’t exclusive to one race or two. Not only is the homosexual racism immoral, it’s also ILLEGAL. Mayors of North American and European cities should bring that issue forth to the community’s attention to the people, especially the queer community.

  • Boo, Ty! By the way, I’m not a Republican.

  • hi ty ty…thanks for the !@#$%^ Schtuff
