…stupid speed limits…
Just when I thought everything was finally going my way, something stupid like this happens…
I got a speeding ticket today. Ugh, I’m sooooo irritated. I had just got off the bay bridge and was starting to accelerate onto the freeway when I got pulled over by a CHP. I was apparently doing 60 on the bridge, which he had let me slide on, but I had sped up to 80 when I got to the freeway portion–not good. I’m usually more conscious of my surroundings and all, but I guess I was just feeling really ditzy today. Anyhow, the officer was nice lenient about it all though and only wrote me up for doing 60 in a 50 zone, so hopefully the ticket won’t be too expensive. I’m thinking it’ll be about $200+, maybe I’ll prepare myself for $250, that way if it winds up being less, I’ll be a bit more relieved. Guess I’ll be going to traffic school again, maybe this time they’ll let me take it online, but I won’t get my hopes up, ugh. As if I didn’t have anything better to do with 2 days worth of pay and a day off, this is really irritating; it makes me not want to drive anymore, grrrr…
